Further information

This short break takes the visitor along the Alsace Grands Crus route to discover the wonderful harmony between these wines and our region's local produce.

Take a trip through grape varieties and soil types and delve deep into the mysteries of vinification (the process which creates the flavour and complexity of our region's wines). Our recommended restaurants will welcome you for a memorable meal based on terroir and exceptional wines.

Relax in the cosy atmosphere and let your tastebuds be surprised by a tasting of Grands Crus wines chosen to reveal and enhance the flavours of the dishes, crafted from seasonal, local produce.

New in 2021: discover our 3 meal formulas. Have you already tried the traditional formula? You can now enjoy the "flavours" formula of the restaurants distinguished by the famous Michelin® Guide (Bib Gourmand or plate holders) or marvel at your taste buds during a "Parenthèse étoilée" in one of our 3 restaurants in the valley distinguished by the famous Michelin® stars!

After a good night's sleep in one of the Kaysersberg Valley boutique hotels, head for the vineyards and villages, where a warm welcome awaits; to really appreciate the beauty of the landscape, hire an electric bike (for an additional charge) and get the very most out of your visit.

Perched on the Kaysersberg hillside is a charming farmhouse surrounded by some highly distinctive, decorative “trees” made of wine bottles: this is Vins Jean Dietrich, where winegrower Jean-Jacques Dietrich makes his red, rosé, white and sparkling wines.

In Alsace as in France, there are as many kinds of wine as there are vines, but grape varieties and soil types are not the only explanation: the guiding hand of the winegrower makes all the difference. Jean-Jacques DIETRICH is a real magician; each decision he takes in the vineyard and winery has an effect on the flavours and quality of his wines. Learn about the mysteries of vinification, and how grape juice is transformed into a truly exceptional nectar!
