Further information

In the heart of a delightful wine-growing town, the stronghold of Lazare de Schwendi, whose legend has it that he brought back the famous Tokay, now known as Pinot Gris, from his trip to Hungary, this gourmet address is not to be missed.

The kitchen brigade is led by Marie, a young, dynamic and talented chef. The authentic, elegant setting, with its stone walls and beamed ceiling, reflects the style of Alsace.

The granddaughter of a winegrower, Marie suggests wines from the family estate and a fine range of wines from French vineyards.

The market, seafood and gourmet menus are mouth-watering. The cream of pumpkin soup is delicious, the fillet of sea bass a la plancha is tasty and the vegetable purées are delicious. After a hearty starter and main course, leave a little room for dessert and enjoy a crunchy vanilla mille-feuille or an orange entremet flavoured with Grand Marnier.

In summer, dining on the terrace on a small square next to a magnificent Vosges sandstone fountain is a real treat.
